From the Seller
We chose this home largely because of the school options - being in Priority 1 catchment for both Reading Boys’ and Kendrick School was a big pull. But it was the area itself that sealed the deal. It’s peaceful, safe, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the neighbours.
This house has been a calm, happy space for our family. What we’ve appreciated most is the flexibility - many of the neighbouring homes have already extended, and there’s clear potential here to do the same, whether outwards or upwards (subject to planning).
We’ve also invested in key upgrades to get the home ready for the next chapter: A full electrical rewire, a new energy-efficient boiler (relocated to the garage), a modern consumer unit prepared for an EV charger, and a smartly refurbished four-piece bathroom.
We’re moving because our son has secured a place at a brilliant school to the west of London, and we’re relocating to be closer. It’s a bittersweet decision - we’ll really miss the quiet setting, the green spaces, and the sense of community.
We hope the next owners enjoy this home as much as we have.
From the Agent
What I really like about this one is the potential. You've got a colourful, mature garden with a tucked-away spot at the far end – great if you ever wanted a garden office or just a quiet place to switch off. The garage gives you options too. I could see someone turning it into a home gym, workshop or even just a proper workspace.
And when you look around the area, you can see what’s possible – plenty of neighbours have extended already, so there’s a clear path if you’re thinking about adding more space down the line (subject to planning, of course).
Area Highlights
- Highwood Nature Reserve, Palmer Park and Thames Valley Business Park are all nearby - perfect if you enjoy walking, decompressing, or keeping active
- Excellent transport links: M4 and A329 are easily accessible, the number 17 bus is around a 10-minute walk, and Earley station is just over a mile away
- Woodley town centre is walkable in about 20 minutes - ideal for a coffee, errands, or lunch out
