About this property
"I bought this flat from a new build in September 2021, and it has been a dream to live in - i’m only moving because of starting a family, so I have to! The place is so energy efficient with the white goods, boiler and solar panels it came with that my bills are really low, and the shower pressure is awesome. I will probably miss my huge windows the most - morning sunlight floods my bedroom each morning, and I have a sweeping view of the St. Phillip’s Marsh area that is set to be redeveloped around Temple Meads. The place feels secure but intimate/homey with the separate stairwell shared with two other flats (lovely neighbours)."
Bathwell Road is placed to the east of Totterdown and close by to the beautiful Arnos Vale Cemetery. This street has the best of both worlds, with a fantastic array of cafes, restaurants and independent shops on Wells Road, as well as the open green spaces of South Bristol all within close proximity. Places on Wells Road, such as Fox & West, an independent café and greengrocers selling a diversity of local produce, Bank, Totterdown Canteen and Farrow’s Fish & Chips offer some of the best options in the city. Green spaces are in plentiful supply, with Arnos Vale being an idyllic Victorian garden cemetery with the café run by the trust at its heart, the incredible views from Perrett Park, as well as the 50 acres of Victoria Park. Totterdown offers easy access to and from the city, with Bath Road offering an easy link to Bath, the Portway taking you to the M5 and the M32 to the M4 and beyond. Temple Meads Train Station is also a short walk or cycle away, offering connections nationally. Travelling southwards, you find yourself in the Mendips, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
This spacious and energy efficent one bedroom apartment is tucked away just off Wells Road. On entrance the hallway provides access to each segment of the apartment. Straight ahead is the large open plan kitchen / dining space with large windows providing a superb view across Bristol - all white goods are integrated and everything in the apartment is just 4 years old from the kitchen, to the appliances. Along the hallway you have a utility cupboard and a stylish three piece bathroom suite, at the rear of the bedroom is a large bedroom with a walk in wardrobe space. The stand out features of this flat are how modern, spacious and energy efficient the home is while being located in the heart of Totterdown with so many amenities on your doorstep The amenities on my doorstep are incredible. You're 1 minute away from Farrows fish and chips shop, Totterdown canteen for a breakfast or Bruhaha for a beer in the sun. Also just a couple minutes from an independent pharmacy, a co-op, fox & west for fresh fruit and veg/organic produce, Tesco express, Bakehouse bakery or banana boat for more fresh fruit and veg. Asia garden is an amazing Chinese takeaway, Acapella does great pizza and Bank is a real ‘treat yourself’ location for brunch, cocktails or dinner out. Not to mention green spaces - Arnos Vale, Perrett Park, Victoria Park are all beautiful and peaceful. There are two bus stops immediately on Wells Road and it takes me 15 minutes to walk to Temple Meads. It’s the perfect flat for some to looking get on the ladder who wants a stylish, low maintenance flat which will be cheap on bills and close to the hustle and bustle of the Bristol.
