Spacious Family Home With Four Doubles, Stunning Orangery, Stylish Kitchen And Private Garden!

The Sellers View
We moved into our home at Flagstaff Square nearly nine years ago, and from day one, we felt incredibly lucky to call it ours. One of the standout features has always been the amount of bright and spacious living accommodation. With three children, it’s been a real benefit that everyone has had space to unwind.

We added the extension to create a dedicated home office and a beautiful orangery, which quickly became our favourite spot—especially in the summer when the bi-fold doors open up to blend the indoor and outdoor spaces. It's been the perfect setting for hosting family and friends.

The location has been ideal for family life. Our children’s schools are just a short walk away, and the estate itself offers two play parks and peaceful canal-side walks. Everything we’ve needed has been on the doorstep—whether it’s popping to the local shop, seeing the doctor, or catching a train into London, it’s all right here.

Flagstaff Square has been a lovely place to live. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming, and there's a real sense of community that made us feel at home from the very beginning.

The Agents View
This is one of those homes that just works for family life. The layout flows beautifully, the presentation is spot on, and it’s packed with practical touches that make everyday living that bit easier.

The study is a great size, ideal if two of you need to work from home without battling for desk space. Or, if you’d rather swap emails for Lego bricks, it makes a perfect playroom or snug. The living room opens up into the orangery, which might just be my favourite part of the house. It creates distinct spaces for relaxing and dining, all bathed in natural light thanks to those gorgeous bifold doors. The kitchen has been stylishly refitted with stone worktops and loads of room to cook, chat, and gather. It really does feel like the heart of the home. There’s also a generous utility cupboard and a downstairs WC, so everything has its place on the ground floor.

Upstairs, the master bedroom comes with a sleek new shower room and plenty of built in storage. You’ll also find another double bedroom and the main family bathroom. Head up again and you’ve got two more double bedrooms (yes, both with storage) and an additional shower room, perfect for guests or growing teens.

The garden out back is wonderfully private and peaceful, with mature trees and minimal upkeep required. You’ve got access to the garage and driveway parking via the back gate, plus guaranteed parking for another car at the front.

All in all, it’s a beautifully balanced home, and if it feels like the one, don’t wait too long to come and see it. Homes like this don’t tend to hang around.

P.S. There is an annual maintenance charge of £80 to rmg management company who look after the development.

The Area View
Flagstaff Square is part of the sought after Kennet Heath development in Thatcham, offering a great mix of convenience and community. Families will appreciate the choice of nearby schools. Spurcroft Primary is just 0.6 miles away, Francis Baily is around 0.9 miles, and Thatcham Park Primary is roughly 1.2 miles from the home by foot. Kennet School, a popular secondary, is just 0.5 miles away, with other options like Trinity and St Bartholomew’s within a short drive.

Thatcham train station is only 0.3 miles away, with direct links to Reading, Newbury and London Paddington. There are regular bus services nearby, and the A4 and M4 are both easily accessible by car.

Local amenities are close at hand, with shops, cafes and restaurants in Thatcham town centre just a 4 minute drive away. Nature lovers can enjoy the nearby Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre and Reed Beds, and history fans will love St Mary’s Church and the Old Bluecoat School. This location offers a well balanced lifestyle with everything you need within easy reach.
