One of the towns’ most popular developments, Cromwells Meadow is towards the eastern edge of the town. A mix of properties, from smaller terraced houses to the larger detached ones, there’s a house for all types of buyers. Built in the early 2000’s, this is a detached, four bedroom family home with plenty of space and a bit of further potential for a new owner to make it theirs. With an enlarged double garage and a south facing garden too, it’s got those extra few features that make it worth a look.

From entering the property, it’s clear that the house has been tastefully decorated and very well kept. Although much of the fittings are original, it’s all in great condition and means any updating can be done over time while in situ. There’s a living room which runs front to back and opens onto the garden at the rear. The kitchen has a range of units and many may look at the options to open this room up to the adjacent dining room to make a more open plan kitchen/dining room. Importantly for a house of this type, there’s a separate utility room and a ground floor WC too. On the first floor are the four good sized bedrooms, with the master having it’s own ensuite and a family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms.

At the front is a gated driveway providing off-road parking and leads to the detached double garage. Unusually, and accessed from inside the garage is a garage “extension” providing excellent workshop or hobby space, leaving the garage clear. This extra room is very useful and sets the house apart. There’s also an additional visitors parking space adjacent to the garage too. At the back, the rear garden is a good size, mainly level and laid to lawn with planted beds. It’s south facing and again this will be another tick in the box for many.

crediton is a vibrant market town with a bustling high street full of independent shops, eateries, and pubs. In recent years a diverse arts scene has grown to include all manner of mediums, with the performing arts making use of the town’s market square where, in the summer months, a range of activities take place. The market square is also home to the town’s twice-monthly farmer’s market. The town has an equally significant past. It was originally the first Bishopric in Devon and the imposing Parish Church of The Holy Cross now stands where once stood Devon’s first Saxon cathedral (909-1050AD). It is also the birthplace of Saint Boniface, one of the founding fathers of the Christian church in Europe. Easily commutable to Exeter and with two primary schools, a secondary school with sixth form as well as a wide range of necessary amenities, it’s clear why the town is a firm favourite with locals and relocators alike.
