Travel Directions
From Glasgow city centre proceed in a westerly direction on the M8 motorway. Travel for 10 miles, bear left at junction 29 following signs Irvine on the A737. After 2.8 miles take the Johnstone exit. Turn right at the traffic lights, at the roundabout continue straight on Barrochan Road, at the next roundabout, turn right onto Houston Road. After 0.5 miles turn left, continue for 0.3 miles then turn right onto Kirk Road. Proceed along Kirk Road and shortly after the Houston Church turn right onto Chapel Road, proceed due north on Chapel Road before reaching Corsliehill Road, turn right into Barochan House estate, follow the drive into the estate before taking the first left hand turn into Barochan Garden Cottage.
Alternatively, proceed along Barrochan Road for 2.2 miles. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Bridge of Weir Road and after 0.2 miles take the first right onto Main Street. After 180 yards at the roundabout take the second exit onto Main Street and drive through Houston village. After 0.6 miles turn right onto Chapel Road. Proceed due north on Chapel Road before reaching Corsliehill Road, turn right into Barochan House estate, follow the drive into the estate before taking the first left hand turn into Barochan Garden Cottage.
