    Wyfold Court is a Grade II* listed mansion, built between 1874 and 1876 for Edward Hermon, a renowned Mancunian cotton magnate and a Member of Parliament for Preston. Designed by George Somers Clarke, a pupil of Sir Charles Barry who had helped to prepare the drawings for the Houses of Parliament, the house was reputed to be one of the grandest houses in England reflecting the French Flamboyant Gothic style.     Directions:

In approximately 250 meters turn left onto Lime Avenue. Drive past Hazel Grove and Baron Way and follow the driveway to the house.

    Access:

    Central London is 41 miles, Reading (and station) is seven miles, Henley on Thames is 6 miles. Reading to Paddington is 25 minutes journey time by fast train. The new Cross Rail, linking Bond Street Mayfair and Heathrow will also connect to Reading. It is expected that Cross rail services will commence on the central section by late 2018 followed by a phased introduction of services along the rest of the Crossrail route over several months. Heathrow is approximately 30 miles.
