The Sellers View
Even though we've only been back living here for a few months, it's surprised us how quickly the house started to feel like home again.
We originally let the property out, and it was a great investment, but with our family growing, it made sense to move back in while we planned our next step. It’s been a calm and comfortable space in the meantime, easy to settle into, easy to look after, and in a location that just works for daily life.
Having the dog with us this time round has made us appreciate the garden more than we used to. It’s a lovely length, and with the sun reaching different parts throughout the day, we’ve had plenty of time outside without ever needing to go far.
There’s something about this close that’s just easy-going. It’s quiet, the neighbours are friendly, and you don’t feel cut of, everything we’ve needed has been within walking distance, which has been a real bonus with how busy life is getting.
It’s time for us to move on to something with more space, but this house has done its job well - more than once - and we’ll leave with very fond memories.
The Agents View
I really like this home. It’s well laid out, has a great garden, and you can walk to everything you need in the village.
The living space feels bigger than you’d expect for a two bed, with an entrance porch, a bright living room, and handy under-stair storage. The kitchen dining room at the back opens out onto a long east-facing garden, perfect for catching the sun from morning through to the evening. There’s also a smart patio area, ideal for a cuppa or something stronger when the weather plays ball.
Upstairs you’ll find two proper double bedrooms and a family bathroom. No box room here, which is a big win.
The garage is just out the front, and there’s off road parking too.
If you're looking for a first home, a downsize, or even a solid buy-to-let, this one should be on your list.
The Area View
Stable Close is a quiet cul-de-sac tucked away in the heart of Burghfield Common, just a short stroll from everything you need day-to-day. From the local Co-op to the bakery, café, pubs and doctors' surgery, it’s all within walking distance—making life here super convenient.
Families will appreciate the nearby schools, with both primary and secondary options close by, and there are some great green spaces around for dog walks, park trips or just getting some fresh air. You’ve also got easy access to larger towns like Reading or Basingstoke if you need a bit more hustle and bustle.
Burghfield Common strikes a lovely balance between village life and good connections, and Stable Close is a great spot to enjoy it all.
