About this property
We immediately fell in love with the house when we viewed it. We were initially drawn to the cottage style character, the light from the large windows and the absolute gem of having a large established garden, so unusual in a city centre location. I love the quiet calming nature of the garden, and we have enjoyed hosting many BBQ's and social gatherings. I also love my early morning runs around Bristol Harbour, soaking in the calming atmosphere by the water before the city slowly starts to wake in preparation for yet another busy day.
Eldon Terrace is a quiet street situated in the popular Windmill Hill area of Bristol, a short walk to Bedminster Train Station which takes you directly to Temple Meads or down to Weston Super Mare in the other direction. Windmill Hill is renowned for the fantastic views it offers from many vantage points over Bristol and towards the countryside to the south and west. The area has become one of the most sought after in Bristol over recent years, popular with many for its picturesque streets of charming Victorian homes and the character they offer within. The Victoria Park Pub is the local pub, which offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Towards Bedminster, there is the vibrant North Street, housing a diversity of independents, such as the Albatross Cafe, the highly regarded Kask, Cor as well as the Tobacco factory, a cultural hub of South Bristol with a great lineup of shows. Wapping Wharf is also easily accessible, with amazing eateries including Root, Ragu, and Seven Lucky Gods. Towards the east of the home, you come across the vast Victoria Park, which is a hive of activity for families, joggers and those looking to socialise. For commuters and young professionals, the house is also well-located, within walking distance of the City Centre and Temple Meads Station and major employers around the Harbourside and Temple Quay. The area also has some well-regarded shops and cafes such as The Bristol Loaf and Windmill Hill City Farm is a popular attraction very close by and has a great café and regular events and pop ups.
An usual three bedroom end of terrace house with one of the biggest gardens in the area. The house is over two floors, the ground floor being home to the living room with period fireplace and an open plan kitchen/dining room with log burner. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a shower over the bath. The first floor has three bedrooms, two are very generous doubles and there is a third smaller double. The rear garden wraps around the property and is incredibly generous in size and a real sun trap with a large lawn and different spots for sitting and enjoying the sunshine.
