Why buy this home?
Step inside and you’re welcomed by a spacious hallway, with soft carpeting flowing through the main living areas, creating a warm and inviting feel. From here, you can access the living room, kitchen, and dining room.
To the left, the living room spans the full length of the house. A beautiful marble-surround feature fireplace takes centre stage, with plenty of space to arrange your sofas around it. This dual-aspect room is filled with natural light, thanks to a front-facing window and double doors opening onto the patio.
Back in the hallway, double doors open into the dining room, which comfortably fits a six-seater table and sideboard, ideal for family meals or entertaining guests.
At the rear of the home is the stylish, renovated kitchen, fitted with a classic Wren shaker-style design and wood effect worktops. A thoughtfully placed breakfast bar offers the perfect spot for your morning coffee while enjoying views over the garden. Integrated neff appliances include a fridge freezer, gas hob, double oven, and dishwasher. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus access to the garden. A downstairs WC completes the ground floor.
Buyers seeking open-plan living will be pleased to know there’s potential to extend into the garden without losing too much outdoor space.
The rear garden is a real showstopper, wrapping around the width of the house and garage. Professionally landscaped, it features porcelain paving, a low-maintenance artificial lawn, and established borders with mature trees and shrubs. There’s even room for a greenhouse, ideal for green-fingered buyers and multiple seating areas make this the ultimate space for garden parties and summer get-togethers.
Upstairs, you’ll find four well-proportioned bedrooms. The master bedroom, located at the rear, comfortably fits a king-size bed and bedside tables, and includes built-in wardrobes and a modern en-suite with a double shower. Bedroom two is another generous double with built-in wardrobes and front-facing views. Bedroom three is also a double with storage, while bedroom four is a good-sized single, ideal as a nursery, guest room or home office. These rooms are served by a stylish, recently updated family bathroom featuring a three-piece suite with a handheld shower and a vanity unit.
To the front of the home, there’s a detached double garage and off-road parking for two cars side by side.
More about the location...
Tattenhoe and Tattenhoe Park are adjacent districts of Milton Keynes in the ancient parish of Tattenhoe. It is located at the south-western edge of the city, not far from the ruins of Snelshall Priory. It contains Howe Park Wood, one of England's few remaining primeval woodlands, and home to a wide variety of wildlife.
The village was abandoned in the 16th century and had its own moated manor house and church (1540, perhaps 12th century). By the time redevelopment began, it consisted of just three farms and St. Giles's Church, but was recognised as a village rather than a hamlet.
The village also has the Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion, which is run by mkdons set in partnership with the Milton Keynes Council. They offer the temporary home of Westcroft Library, as well as a lounge area next to the cafe and bar on site. The pavilion also has legacy playing fields, an astro turf available for hire, a meeting room available for hire and free parking on site.
Tattenhoe Valley Park is a delightful place for a walk, cycle or horse ride, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the necklace of ponds splashing over rocks and providing a fantastic habitat for insect, bird and water life.
Primary education is provided by Howe Park School and Giles Brook School (which has an Outstanding Ofsted report) and Secondary Education is provided by Shenley Brook End School.
