The Old Chapel was converted to a residential home during 1999 and has been our vendors home for the last 12 years. It is situated conveniently close to the A30 dual carriageway with Trethorne Hotel and Golf Club and Trethorne Leisure Park within walking distance.
Inside, this detached stone property is laid out over two floors and enjoys many original features including stained glass windows in the porch and large arched windows in place throughout the home. Most of the windows are double glazed and some have recently had acoustic glass fitted, which helps to reduce the sound of the road. The heating is generated by oil fired central heating.
On entering through an original porch with double doors then opening into the large reception space that could be used as a dining room. The kitchen is fitted with an array of light coloured units situated both above and below a dark roll top working surface. The electric oven, hob, extractor, fridge and freezer are all included within the sale. There is plumbing and space for a washing machine. The large ‘L’ shape lounge/dining room enjoys the seasonal heat of a multi fuel burner set in front of a feature stone fireplace.
The first floor is accessed via a timber staircase case which ascends from the reception area to a large landing area that could be a further lively or sleeping space. Most of the ceilings are vaulted and the original carved trusses are exposed. There are three bedrooms, all of which enjoy light from skylight windows. The bathroom has a matching white suite with an electric shower in place over the panel bath.
Outside, there is a large detached garage with parking in front, as well as an area of garden, mainly laid to lawn at the side of it. There is a further small area of enclosed garden adjacent to the chapel.
The nearby village of Tregadillett lies approximately one mile away and boasts a range of amenities including a Public House/Restaurant, County Primary School and a Place of Worship. Closer to hand and within walking distance is Trethorne Leisure Park and Trehorne Hotel and Golf Club. The property lies adjacent to the A30 trunk road giving access to Truro and West Cornwall in one direction and Exeter and beyond in the opposite direction. The ancient former market town of Launceston lies approximately three miles away and offers a range of shopping, commercial, educational and recreational facilities.
From Launceston, proceed West along the A30 dual carriageway towards Bodmin. After approximately two miles take the exit signposted North Cornwall, Wadebridge, Camelford, A395 (A39). At the roundabout follow the signposts again for North Cornwall, Wadebridge, Camelford, A395 (A39). Drive over the A30 and at the next roundabout take the first exit signposted Wadebridge A395 (A39). Continue along the A395 for a short distance taking the first left hand turning (no through road) where The Old Chapel will be identified straight ahead marked with a Webbers For Sale Board.
