Description

A single field of level and gently south east facing permanent pasture land. The soil is a productive loam over Valley Gravel and Kimmeridge clay and is classified Grade 3 on the alc. The field is bounded by mature hedgerows with stock proof sheep fence around the entire perimeter. The land has been farmed in an extensive organic rotation for 17 years and is capable of being pushed to grow stronger crops.

Situation

The land is located on the edge of Shillingstone Village between Sturminster Newton (3 miles) and Blandford (6 miles) at the eastern end of the Blackmore Vale, an area renowned for its productive grasslands. The land has excellent road frontage and a gate directly off Haywards Lane. The land lies in a sheltered position in the Upper Stour Valley sheltered by Okeford and Hambledon Hills.
