Location
Perry Close is situated on the Northern fringes of Tavistock. If you have children of school age Tavistock Primary and College is within walking distance. The town centre is also within a relative easy walking distance. Close by is a children's play park, perfect for younger children to play. The play park is a great place for kids in the area to let off their energy and have fun in the evening or weekends. Nearby within this development are also two open green areas, a cracking place to walk the dog or get some fresh air.
We often walk our dog through the estate and there is a woodland walk which we really enjoy. Once upon a time there was a Manor and it's estate here so you will see some remnants of a bygone age.
Tavistock is a thriving Stannary market town in West Devon, nestled on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park. Tavistock is an ancient town, rich in history dating back to the 10th century and famed for being the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. Also there are public houses, cafes, restaurants, social clubs, riverside park, leisure centre, theatre, doctors surgery, dentists and Tavistock Hospital. There are excellent educational facilities including primary and secondary schools in the state and private sector. The town has superb recreation and sporting facilities including; Tennis club, bowls club, golf club, cricket clubs, football club and athletics track.
