Sellers comments:
We decided to buy our much-loved home about 90 seconds after stepping through the door and we’ve been happy here for the last 12 years. We’d love to stay for the next 12, but we’re relocating; sadly we can’t take it with us!
Here’s what we love about it. It’s a Tardis. From the outside it looks like a tiny country cottage, but once the front door is open you can see all the way down the hall, through the kitchen and into to the garden, the house really draws you in.
The kitchen diner is our primary living space, it's large and perfect for dinners and parties too! The kitchen has a bifold door pretty much the full width of the room, it’s open from first thing in the morning to last thing at night in summer and that means we use the mostly south facing garden all day long.
A few years ago, we built a pergola, added a couple of outdoor sofas and planted grapevines, it’s now a wonderfully peaceful place to sit and have morning coffee or after dinner.
We’ve done a huge amount of work to our home. We’ve fitted new windows and doors, flooring, radiators, room dividers, recent carpets, and 2 new bathrooms. To keep the house cool in summer the bifold at the back of the house and Juliet balcony have integral blinds.
The location is fantastic, we’re a 5 minute walk to Crystal Palace triangle, 10 minute walk to Gipsy Hill station and a 20 minute walk to Crystal Palace station. The 417 to Clapham, 432 to Brixton and 450 to Sydenham bus stops are a 100 metres away, and lots of parking on Harold Road. And we have 4 great parks all a short distance away.
