Charlwood Court is an established age restricted development for those over 60, built by McCarthy Stone in 2000, enviably set in the very heart of St Marychurch. This particular apartment has been upgraded and improved in recent years and occupies a first floor position from entrance level to the south westerly side of the building. The development benefits from a resident house manager, communal lounge, laundry and guest suite. Outside are attractive communal gardens and parking facilities (subject to availability).
The comprehensive amenities of St Marychurch are all within a short, level stroll, equally are the scenic Babbacombe Downs with shingle beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacombe below, accessed by either the winding wooded pathways or renowned Cliff Railway. A host of leisure activities and clubs can also be found nearby including golf, sailing, bowls and tennis clubs and picturesque Tessier Gardens, a tranquil hidden park being pet free and adults only.

Owners' Insight
"We chose to live in St Marychurch because it was away from the business of Torquay and it has a friendly, welcoming aspect about it. It has a good selection of shops, including Co-op & Sainsburys, as well as a number of independent shops. It also has a doctors, dentist, chiropodist, churches etc. There is also a good theatre just an easy walk along Babbacombe Downs. A sandy beach is at the bottom of the Cliff Railway (an easy walk down), where a good restaurant & coffee shop awaits. Buses run to Teigmouth, Dawlish and Paignton, as well as down to Torquay seafront."
