Charming Cottage in the Heart of Deal
Tucked away in a peaceful mews just off Deal High Street, this delightful cottage is full of character, charm, and modern comforts. Perfect for anyone seeking a slower pace of life without giving up convenience, it offers the ideal blend of tranquillity and town-centre living.
Recently refurbished to a high standard, the property features double-glazed sash windows, thoughtful contemporary updates, and plenty of original details to fall in love with.
The current owners have also acquired additional land from a neighbour, extending the plot and creating a private rear garden-entirely tucked out of sight from the front of the home-and doubling the size of the original footprint.
Step through the welcoming stable door into a stylish new kitchen, complete with clever touches such as an integrated ironing board and a pull-out table for intimate dining. The cosy lounge showcases an original fireplace with an electric coal-effect burner, beautifully complemented by exposed beams. To the rear, a light-filled garden room provides an ideal space for relaxed dining and entertaining, with lovely views over the immaculate garden.
Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom and family bathroom occupy the first floor, while a charming guest bedroom sits on the second floor.
Outside, the appeal continues: The generously sized, beautifully kept walled garden offers exceptional privacy and tranquillity. With a patio seating area (with or without cover) and even an established vegetable patch, it’s a perfect setting for outdoor living.
This cottage is a true gem in the heart of Deal-ready to move in and enjoy.
Identification Checks
Should a purchaser(s) have an offer accepted on a property marketed by Miles & Barr, they will need to undertake an identification check. This is done to meet our obligation under Anti Money Laundering Regulations (aml) and is a legal requirement. We use a specialist third party service to verify your identity. The cost of these checks is £60 inc. VAT per purchase, which is paid in advance, when an offer is agreed and prior to a sales memorandum being issued. This charge is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Location Summary
Deal is a town situated in Kent, which lies on the English Channel, eight miles north-east of Dover and eight miles south of Ramsgate. This former fishing and mining town became a 'limb port' of the Cinque Ports in 1278 and grew into the busiest port in England. In 1968, “Middle Street” was the first Conservation Area in Kent, its quaint streets and houses a reminder of its history along with many ancient buildings and monuments including, most notably, Deal and Walmer Castles . Today it is a seaside resort with its award-winning High Street, high-speed train Links to St Pancras and independent shops. An array of cafes and pubs sit along the picturesque seafront that is home to a sweeping pier.
