Accommodation
Dating back to the 1920s, this attractive character home has been thoughtfully extended and refurbished, successfully blending original period features with a modern and stylish living environment. The result is a spacious, versatile family home with beautifully balanced accommodation and large, bright rooms throughout.
The main sitting room is a superb triple-aspect living space, flooded with natural light, with French doors opening directly to the south facing rear garden and a welcoming log-burning stove at its heart.
The family room is equally impressive, offering further flexibility for entertaining or relaxing.
Undoubtedly the hub of the house is the spectacular kitchen/family room. Designed with both style and practicality in mind, it boasts extensive granite work surfaces, a breakfast bar return, and a vaulted ceiling. Full-width bi-folding doors create a seamless connection to the garden, making it the perfect space for family life and entertaining alike.
Upstairs, the property offers four double bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes and far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside and hills. These are complemented by well-appointed bathroom facilities, completing the generous and practical accommodation.
Outside, the property is approached via double electric gates opening onto a large, extensive gravelled driveway,
providing parking for many vehicles.
The front garden extends along the front of the plot and down one side of the house. To the rear, the smaller southerly garden continues the modern, stylish theme of the interior, featuring a large porcelain-tiled patio with various seating areas to enjoy the views. A small area of lawn is enclosed with contemporary fencing, offering a private and easy-to-maintain outdoor space.
Additionally, there is a versatile outside room, currently used as a bar, which could easily serve as a home office, studio, gym, or other purpose tailored to the buyer’s needs.
Situated in a desirable location with excellent access to local amenities, schools, and transport links including a mainline Train Station, this remarkable home offers a rare combination of character, space, modern style, and exceptional rural views.

Safeguarding your information
Important information regarding cybercrime. It has come to our attention that computer hackers are seeking to target property transactions to access funds. As we understand it, they will either hack a phone, tablet or pc, maybe by sending out a random email which mistakenly gets opened, or even whilst opening a website, which gives them access to that machine.
The reason for us mentioning this is to you is to alert you that once they have gained access, they can monitor email correspondence, without you knowing, throughout a transaction. Then, at a relevant point, e.g. Just before exchange of contracts, they can send an email to a client mirroring that of their solicitor asking for funds to be transferred to a certain bank account. That money then, of course, disappears.
Fortunately, we have not had such an instance but, feel it important to highlight the fact that if you do receive an email requesting funds, it is worth double checking with the person concerned by phone that it is genuine and the bank details are correct, before sending money. This could, of course, affect other areas of finance beyond property. Many solicitors are starting to highlight this point now, but for safety, we would urge you to be vigilant and check before sending money or passing on any personal details regarding any bank or credit card information.
