The Sellers View...
We moved into this flat in November 2022, having previously rented a cold and poorly maintained property in Windsor. The decision to buy was driven by a desire to be closer to work and friends, but what truly sealed it for us was the incredible roof terrace. In summer, it’s been a brilliant space for hosting: Sunny, private, and perfect for drinks, dinners, and relaxing with friends. Unlike many other flats we viewed, this one is not overlooked by neighbouring properties, offering a rare sense of privacy. The development is peaceful and ideally located between Taplow Riverside and central Maidenhead, with Maidenhead station just a short walk away offering direct links into London via the Elizabeth Line and overground.
From the moment we moved in, we’ve loved how light and airy the flat feels throughout the year. It’s been incredibly low maintenance and surprisingly warm—thanks to the natural heat rising from the flats below, we’ve never needed to turn on the radiators. The modern design and well-equipped interior have made day-to-day living easy and enjoyable. The Taplow Riverside area is a real gem, with beautiful riverfront walks to Cookham and Bray, and fantastic local pubs. The community here has also been a highlight: Friendly neighbours, helpful WhatsApp groups, New Year’s Eve fireworks, and even ice cream on the green in summer.
We’re relocating to Basingstoke due to a change in job, which will significantly shorten our commute. It also brings us closer to family, which is important to us as we start thinking about the future and planning for a growing family. While we’re excited for this next chapter, we’ll genuinely miss everything this flat and its surroundings have offered us—especially those long summer evenings on the terrace.
