Location

Springfield Park embodies the true meaning of a central location, being a stones throw from Horsham Town Centre, a short walk from Horsham Station and immediately opposite the picturesque Horsham Park. Horsham is a thriving historic market town with an excellent selection of national and independent retailers including a large John Lewis and Waitrose store. There are twice weekly award winning local markets in the Carfax in the centre of Horsham for you to stock up on local produce, or head to East Street, or 'Eat Street' as it is known locally, where there is a wide choice of restaurants ranging from independent eateries such as Monte Forte and larger chains, including Wagamama, Pizza Express and Cote. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities - there is The Pavilions In The Park Leisure Centre with its gym and swimming pools set in Horsham Park, The Capitol Arts Centre and Everyman Cinema. There are some beautiful walks and cycle rides in the immediate countryside. Further afield, the stunning South Downs and coast are within easy reach. Horsham Station is a short stroll away, with a direct line to Gatwick (17 minutes) and London Victoria (52 minutes) and there is easy access to the M23 leading to the M25.

Property

The front door of this beautifully presented Grade II Listed Mansion House Apartment opens into an impressive Hall which offers access to just 7 properties, with stairs and a lift rising to the private Top Floor, where you will find this luxurious Penthouse Apartment. From the 18ft Hall, doors open to all Rooms, including a convenient WC. A particular feature of the home is the 19'7 x 15'7 double aspect Living/Dining Room, which boasts far reaching views and offers the perfect space to relax or entertain. The 15'3 x 13'8 Kitchen Breakfast Room is also dual aspect and has a luxurious range of floor and wall mounted units with a host of integrated appliances and a breakfast bar. Completing the accommodation is the two generous Double Bedrooms, both with built in Wardrobes and En Suites. The Principal Suite measures over 20ft in length, has a fitted Dressing Area and the En Suite has been recently refitted with a luxurious Suite including a large shower cubicle and separate bath.

Outside

You gain access to the impressive Springfield Park via imposing double gates, that open to reveal beautifully kept communal grounds. These wrap around the property, with a striking fountain to the rear with seating areas and rolling lawns edged by mature borders that lead to both the stunning entrance and your two allocated parking spaces. Parking for this Penthouse Apartment can be found opposite the property along with further visitor spaces.

History

Springfield Park was built circa 1758, and was a fine house retained by Blunt family until the twentieth century. In approximately 1881 it became a school known as Horsham College, which closed in 1988, leaving the house empty for some time. Following a fire in 1990, Berkeley Homes slowly restored and converted the house into luxury apartments and with additional homes built in the landscaped grounds, Springfield Park was reborn in 2000. It is now one of Horsham's most exclusive private developments, located opposite Horsham Park and a 'stones throw' from the town centre. Being a Grade II Listed Queen Anne style Mansion, there is unrivalled charm and elegance throughout the building.
