Owner's Comment
"We bought the house mainly because we’ve got a lot of friends in and around Plymouth. My wife had a horse up until quite recently, so it was important for us to be on this side of Plymouth—close to the countryside but also not far from the beach at Wembury. It’s also been really handy for commuting into Plymouth for work and having easy access to the A38.
I think what we’ll probably miss the most is the size of the property and just the space we've had here. But again, the location’s been brilliant—so close to places like Wembury Beach and Dartmoor, which is just down the road, really.
Sherford itself has been a fantastic place to live. It’s great for young families and professionals alike. There’s a real mix of people here, all doing different kinds of jobs. You’ve got brilliant access to the coast and countryside, and now there’s a really good shop right on site. The primary school—Sherford Vale—has been amazing. Our son’s absolutely thriving there.
There’s also a lot of options when it comes to secondary schools, which is great. And the bus service is excellent—it’s easy to get into and out of Plymouth even if you don’t drive. There’s a bus that goes right through Sherford and out toward places like South Brent, Ivybridge, and Totnes, which has been really useful."
