Tucked away on a quiet, residential cul-de-sac, this 1930s home has a calm, settled feel-the result of over two decades with the same owner and meticulous modernisation over recent years.
There’s an easy flow the moment you step inside. The ground floor centres on a generous through lounge/diner, one cohesive space made for everyday living and evenings with friends, anchored by a log burner and finished with bespoke carpentry for a tailored, timeless look. French doors draw the eye to the garden and invite the light in.
The kitchen sits separately, extended to create a comfortable kitchen/breakfast room with classic shaker cabinetry and quartz worktops. Off the side, you’ll find a practical utility space and a downstairs WC, plus internal access to the integral garage-useful for bikes, storage or hobbies.
Upstairs are three bedrooms arranged around a bright landing: Two well-proportioned doubles and a third bedroom that’s ideal as a nursery or study, served by a family bathroom. Outside, the rear garden is a good size with plenty of room for play, planting and laid-back summer dining.
Elmwood Road is a peaceful spot with the best of both worlds on the doorstep-an easy walk to Redhill station for swift London links, and country walks close by when you want greenery and fresh air.
Having lived here for over 20 years we will be very sad to leave our amazing neighbours and wish we could take them with us. We have been spoilt by the convenience of this house, be it to transport links and shops or having parks, lakes and national trust sites on our doorstep. It has been a wonderful home in which to raise our family and we will miss the space and tranquility of the garden. We hope whoever moves in next will be as happy here as we have been.
