***Vendor comments*** "This is a hidden gem nestled in what I lovingly call "Thornton Heath Heights!"
After moving here from a small two-bedroom flat in Crystal Palace nine years ago, this property gave me and my children the extra space I needed, and quickly became my sanctuary. It’s spacious, full of natural light, and has all the comforts that truly make a house feel like a home. With three bedrooms, two spacious living areas, a lovely roof light feature for extra storage, and a private garden that’s perfect for relaxing, entertaining, or just hanging out the laundry on a sunny day, it’s got everything you need and more.
What first drew me in was the generous layout, it’s not too dissimilar in size to a small terraced house, just without the extra cost!
Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. It gave me the best of both worlds, I could still walk to Crystal Palace to meet friends or enjoy a night out, but I also gained the quiet of a more suburban setting. Grangewood Park and its lovely woodlands are just a short walk away, perfect for exercising, taking peaceful strolls, or (if you’re lucky) spotting Walter the albino squirrel, a local legend! I’ve seen him, or at least one of his relatives!
The location is incredibly convenient. Thornton Heath Station is just a short walk away, with direct trains to Victoria, London Bridge, and East Croydon. If you prefer the Overground, Crystal Palace Station is within walking distance too, great for getting your daily steps in and there’s free parking nearby if needed. Norwood Junction is also not far and offers even more transport options.
While Crystal Palace is brilliant for restaurants, cafes and nights out, it can be a bit lacking when it comes to practical shopping. That’s where Thornton Heath really shines, with fantastic local grocers, fresh meat and fish sellers, and a genuine high street vibe. It really is the best of both worlds.
There’s a lovely sense of community here too. Our street has an active and friendly group chat, and we’ve even organised a play street event in the past, it’s the kind of neighbourhood where people look out for each other and most mornings I spend saying 'good morning' as I make the way to work.
I love this area so much that i’m not moving far, i’m only selling because my blended and growing family now needs a little more space. This flat has been a truly special place for us, and I hope it brings just as much joy and comfort to its next owner, and also having the peace of mind the lease is 150 plus years."
