Owners Insight
"This house has been a wonderful home for us, full of happy memories and everything we've needed. As our daughter is getting closer to starting secondary school and with the hope of finding a bit more space for working from home, we feel it’s the right time to take the next step.
We’ve loved living here. The neighbourhood is peaceful and friendly, and it's such a bonus being able to walk to the local shops and schools. The garden has been one of our favourite features, it’s larger and more level than most nearby, making it great for kids to play or for relaxing outdoors.
There’s still so much potential here, and while we had a few plans in mind if we were staying, it’s now a lovely opportunity for the next owners to make it their own."
Step Inside
Stepped approach to the obscure glazed entrance door set within a character brick arch. Coloured glass inner door with matching side screens opens to the reception hall with oak flooring and under stair storage. The sitting room enjoys a large bay window to the front and warming log burner. Heading back to the hall, glazed double doors lead to an inner lobby linking the kitchen and conservatory. The kitchen provides comprehensive units in country cream, solid oak woodblock work tops, tiled floor, inset ceramic sink and provision for range cooker set within the original chimney breast and heavy mantle over. Open service to the conservatory. Generous walk-in store with internal window to the conservatory, provisions for the washing machine and dryer, and modern gas boiler. The conservatory is a spacious room with pitched glazed roof and attractive view over the rear garden, connected via French doors, and tiled floor followed through.
Step Upstairs
From the reception hall a straight flight of stairs rises to the first floor landing, with natural light from a side window. The first floor has a traditional three bedroom design with bedroom 1 being a spacious double enjoying a bay window to the front, bedroom 2 equally a generous double with an open view toward Great Hill, and bedroom 3 currently used as a home office with front facing aspect. The shower room has corner shower with body spray and rain head, WC and basin. Obscure window and tiled floor. From the landing, a turned staircase rises to the versatile loft room, bathed in light from two large roof lights to the rear commanding the finest views over the rear garden and surrounding area toward Great Hill and Brunel woodland.
Step Outside
The front has a stepped approach to a gravelled garden, with side access. The rear garden is a particular feature of the house, being of a generous size for a home of this nature, level, and mainly lawned with decked terrace. The garden is enclosed with fenced boundaries and a rear gate providing pedestrian access to Langford Crescent.
