A modern, five-bedroom house, in Tydings Close in Long Ashton.
Built in 2008, by Strongvox, Tydings Close is one of the smaller modern developments in Long Ashton, a cul-de-sac and 'private road'. It is very conveniently located for the Long Ashton village amenities and for getting into and out of Bristol, yet has green, leafy surroundings, with far reaching views across the valley, to Dundry, and easy access to the North Somerset countryside.
The house itself is arranged over three floors. On the lower ground floor, a large open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining room is the heart of the home, with French doors onto a good-size, se-facing garden. The middle floor consists of a WC, double bedroom with the view and an en-suite, plus a further room that could be a 5th bedroom, but is currently a study/home-office (it could alternatively be a snug or playroom).
Upstairs, on the top floor, there is a spacious landing, family bathroom and three further bedrooms, the largest with an en-suite.
This property also benefits from a parking space and garage to the front/side of the property.
There is a 'private road' service charge (currently £220 p.a.) payable to dna Property Management.
Please see the EPC chart for this property, which shows that it has an a-rated energy efficiency rating.
Location
Long Ashton is particularly well-positioned, between the city of Bristol and the open countryside of North Somerset. The village is surrounded by fields, woods and golf courses. It also benefits from a David Lloyd Leisure Complex and the Ashton Court Estate at one end of the village, and at the other, Gatcombe Farm Shop and Ashton Hill.
Residents enjoy the convenience of a local Post Office, pharmacy, doctors, dentists, hairdressers, barbers, vets, Co-op supermarket, three/four pubs, the renowned Little Tipple, The Old Library (now a modern cafe/bar/pizzeria) and a local bakery.
There are two highly regarded primary schools within Long Ashton (Birdwell Primary School and Northleaze Primary School), as well as a choice of independent schools and secondary schools within easy reach.
The Long Ashton Village Hall, Café and Community Centre provide a hub for community activities/groups and a venue for the village market. Plus, there are playgrounds, a football pitch, a bowling green, tennis courts and a cricket club, along with local parks and woodlands to enjoy.
Bristol's Harbourside is only 2 or 3 miles away, while Clifton and central Bristol are only 3 or 4 miles from Long Ashton.
This is a fantastic location, between the city and the countryside, with a thriving village community and plenty of village amenities, yet so close to the wonderful city of Bristol!
