Seller's View

"Welcome to our flat, where city life meets countryside calm.

Perfectly positioned with effortless access into Reading town centre and direct rail links to London, this two-bedroom apartment offers the best of both worlds. The buzz of the city balanced by the peace of nature-with two beautiful nature reserves right on your doorstep.

As London commuters, we’ve loved how easy it is to get into the city, and equally how quickly we can unwind after a busy day with a sunset walk or cycle along the Kennet & Avon canal, just a stone’s throw away.

When we bought this apartment five years ago as first-time buyers, it instantly felt like the perfect first home. The layout has been ideal, with two bedrooms (including a master with ensuite) giving us both the space we needed especially when working from home during the week. We love hosting too and having the extra bedroom and bathroom has meant that we can do exactly that with ease.

If you love fitness and the outdoors, this is a hidden gem. We’ve trained for half marathons straight from our doorstep, explored Fobney Island Nature Reserve, and even enjoyed a bit of nature photography when we are not on the move. It’s rare to have this much open green space while still being so connected to everything.

Everyday convenience is unbeatable too: Within half a mile you’ll find three supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons), PureGym, a Royal Mail/Evri drop-off point just 200m away, and even a residents’ discount at the Hilton gym and pool directly opposite our building.

Having three retail parks nearby, with shops like B&Q, tk Maxx and Home Bargains plus places to eat like Nando’s, gives us all the convenience of central Reading but without the business or parking hassle.

The building itself is immaculately maintained, with weekly cleaning of the communal space, routine window washing, and a recently renovated communal space that always looks welcoming. To top it off, whilst all residents in our neighbourhood benefit from a single allocated parking space, we also have free, on road parking directly opposite us, which is perfect if, like us, you the 2 cars or for visitors without the hassle of arranging guest parking.

Being on the second floor has been a real bonus too because in the winter, we hardly ever need to put the heating on. With the warmth from the flat above and below, it’s warm and a brilliant saving on energy bills, a true win-win!

We are sad to be moving but we have made the decision to be closer to family but we are certain that whoever moves in next will fall in love with this home, just as we did. It’s not just a flat, it’s a lifestyle that has suited us very well indeed!"
