Owner's Insight
"I have owned the house since 2011, and my three children have been raised here. The location has been a big advantage, close to good schools and within walking distance of Plainmoor and St Marychurch, and also handy for a variety of amenities. Upton Park is just down the road, and Torquay's town centre beyond.
We have also benefitted from being able to park in the lane at the rear of the property, as did the previous owners. A new roof was fitted in 2015 and took the opportunity to open up the loft space for storage and added two windows to allow natural light to the space. The basement and utility room have provided an invaluable space within the home and served as a number of uses including an extra TV room, and currently a music and gaming room."
Step Inside
A panelled entrance door with glazed fanlight opens to the entrance porch, with inner door to the sitting room featuring an exposed brick chimney breast, painted beamed ceiling, and window to the front. The kitchen has been fitted with a modern range of pale grey units and stone effect work tops with sink. Built-in electric oven, four ring gas hob with filter hood, integrated dishwasher, and space for fridge/freezer. One of the cupboards houses the GlowWorm boiler, window enjoying an open view towards the limestone quarry. Inner lobby with storage cupboards and stairs leading down to the garden level. Family bathroom with suite of panelled bath with electric shower over, vanity unit and WC. Tiled floor and window. The games room/home office is a generous internal room linking through to the utility, with under stairs storage and provisions for ample white goods. Window and obscure glazed door opening to the rear garden.
Step Upstairs
From the Sitting Room an open plan staircase rises to the first floor landing. Bedroom 1 with fitted double wardrobe and dressing table, window overlooking the rear garden towards the quarry. Bedroom 2 with fitted wardrobes and outlook to the front. Bedroom 3 also with front aspect. Cloakroom with vanity unit, WC and obscure window. From the landing a retractable loft ladder leads to the loft room with two roof lights and cloakroom.
