About this property
" Living on Grove Park Avenue has been a real treat. We’re surrounded by wonderful neighbours and a great sense of community. Sandy Park Road has seen some great new spots in the few years we’ve been here with the Deli, GreenGrocer and opening of Kin. We spend our mornings and evening lapping Victory Park and Brislington Meadows with our pooches (great views over the city out to Clifton Suspension Bridge). We often stop for drinks at Hop Union or take a longer walk to Beeses. We’ll miss living at number 6 and really wouldn’t choose to leave if we had a choice! "
The home
A light and bright two bedroom mid-terrace house in Brislington. Downstairs there is a sunny reception to the front with bay window and stripped wooden floors. There is a second reception in the middle of the house perfect for a dining room. The kitchen is at the rear of the house which leads to a utility room and downstairs loo. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom.
The outside
The rear garden is a great size for the area and has a lawn, flower beds and a patio area at the back with rear access.
Living in Brislington
Situated in a lovely pocket of houses in Brislington, this property is within walking distance of several well-regarded shops and cafes including Grounded and Deli at Sandy Park. Paintworks is also just a short walk and is home to The Lounge and Alex Does Coffee. Tapestry and Lost & Grounded are nationally renowned Bristol breweries with tap rooms, both of which are within walking distance.
The area is popular with young professionals and families, being both close to the city centre but also accessible to several parks and larger green areas, such as the Nightingale Valley Nature Reserve and St Annes Wood. Arnos Vale Cemetery is just a short walk away and there are fairly extensive footpaths around the River Avon, which wrap around Brislington through some scenic spots, which includes the popular Beese’s Riverside Bar to the west.
The area is also home to several good schools, such as Holymead and Broomhill Infants and Juniors. For commuters, Brislington is well placed, with several buses running through the area including the Park & Ride, as well as routes for cycling and walking to Bristol City Centre.
