About this property
"The home is perfect for a small family or a young couple. I am very reluctant to move. The location is perfect and the village is very quiet. There is a good sense of neighbourhood watch and the only reason we are looking to move is we want a bit more space."
The home
A stylish and contemporary example of a modern home, in Hortham Village, Almondsbury, a desirable estate with plenty of green spaces. This three bedroom terraced home on Viburnum Road is presented to a high standard throughout and begins with a hallway, with W.C on your first left. A door opens to the spacious living area, with engineered oak flooring underfoot, continuing throughout the ground floor. A staircase ascends on the left side of the living room, and a door takes you to the kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is tastefully designed, offering plenty of worktop and cupboard space. Opposite the kitchen, there is ample space for a dining table. Heading upstairs the primary bedrooms sits at the front of the property, benefitting from an ensuite and wooden panelling. Adjacent is the third bedroom, which can be comfortably used as an office. At the back of the first floor is a three piece bathroom suite, and second double bedroom.
The outside space
Outside the front of the plot, there is plenty of off-street and visitor parking, as well as plenty of green open spaces. Heading to the back garden, which is very private, you walk onto a decking area, following by an artificial lawn. At the back of the garden, is a second decking area, and access to the off-street parking space and garage.
Living in Almondsbury
Hortham Village is a relatively modern residential development in the parish of Almondsbury, South Gloucestershire. It sits close to Hortham Lane, Gloucester Road, and the major motorway interchanges (M4/M5), which gives a nice balance of countryside feel and good connectivity. Green space is a strong feature as there is managed parkland around, meaning green vistas and access to open spaces are never far. For schools there is the 'outstanding' rated Almondsbury Primary School, and for secondary, Marlwood School and Castle School are good options. Living in Hortham Village gives you a balance: You get much of the countryside charm (views, green spaces, quieter evenings) but you're not cut off. Weekends might include walking or exploring local woods/fields, trips out to nearby towns, trips into Bristol for culture or shopping. For children, the forest school, local playgrounds, and community events are ideal for spots to visit on the weekend.
