Spectacular 5 Bedroom Family Home!

Owners Comments....
We decided to move from our 3 bed semi 11 years ago when our boys reached their early 20s as we all needed extra space.

We found no 4 and despite it needing a major renovation we fell in love with its quirky layout that offered us all the flexibility to have our own space.

Once we'd made a few changes and updated various aspects of it, No 4 was perfect for us because of the layout in so much as the different levels felt like we all had our own floor - we had the top floor, our youngest the middle and our eldest the annex. And the large kitchen and dining room gave us the perfect place for us all to spend quality time together. We continued to renovate throughout the last 10 years and have now done pretty much everything.

The location is peaceful, the neighbours friendly and with easy access to both Caversham and Reading, local shops, restaurants and pubs along with great parks and woods nearby for dog walking it was perfect.

Now that our boys are fortunate to have their own homes it is far too big for just two of us so we would love another family to be able to enjoy it as much as we have.

Debbie & Andres' Agents’ comments...

We are delighted to be able to bring to market this fabulous family home in the heart of Emmer Green. Sheep Walk is a quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac situated at the end of the Surley Row conservation area.

This home has been substantially refurbished by the current owners and is absolutely immaculate. The fact that it is over four floors and is really quirky gives a fantastic sense of space and light and the 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms including a self contained annex provides really flexible living.

On walking into the home you enter a huge hallway which as its adjacent to the kitchen is perfect for entertaining, There is a spacious and modern shower room to one side and a great kitchen with not one but two sinks, built in appliances, wine fridge and of course an island. I particularly like the way that the washing machine is tucked away in full sized cupboard so super accessible but completely hidden!

On the ground floor the lounge with its duel aspect, access to the garden and wooden floors reminds me of a beach home that you see overseas. There is also a great office, plenty of storage and the annex with its great sized lounge, modern kitchen, double bedroom and shower room. This has access to the garden and is completely self contained, perfect for guests, relatives or teenagers wanting their own space.

Floor 3 offers the principal bedroom which over looks that fantastic garden and has its own ensuite shower room. There is also a second double bedroom on this floor.

Finally on the 4th level, there is a dual aspect double bedroom, a single bedroom and a family bathroom. I can very much see this floor being an adult haven.

The garden is a beautiful tiered space with incredible views and an outside office and garage too. This property really is so unique and special - absolutely ideal for growing families and the space is perfect for entertaining.

Area Comments...

The home is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac and fronts onto trees. Just a short walk away is Caversham centre, a popular hub for local residents, with restaurants, pubs, coffee shops a big Waitrose store and lots of independent shops. There are good transport links into Reading from here as well and with the Elizabeth line taking you directly into central London, you can be from your door step into London within the hour. If you are someone that loves nature, you will.
