Mansfield House is an historic Grade II listed Georgian property which was constructed in 1788 by Mrs Wilks as the first purpose-built theatre in Harrogate as performances had previously been conducted in a nearby barn behind the Granby Hotel. The theatre closed in 1830 and it later became a private residence.
