We’ve called Westfield Road home for the past eight years and have absolutely loved every moment here. It’s been a warm, welcoming house in a fantastic Thatcham location.
Since adding the extension, we’ve really appreciated just how much space the property offers – it’s a deceptively large family home in a modest frame. Having two lounges is a real luxury, giving plenty of flexibility whether that’s entertaining, relaxing, or even debating which room should host the Christmas tree.
The location has been one of our favourite things about living here. With Henwick playing fields right opposite, it feels as though you’re on the edge of the countryside, with open space quite literally on your doorstep. Thatcham Lakes and the Kennet & Avon Canal are only a 15-minute walk away, and there are endless quiet paths for dog walks, running, or cycling.
At the same time, everything you need is within easy reach. There are excellent local schools, both primary and secondary, plus supermarkets, cafés, and pubs nearby. For anything extra, Newbury is just a few minutes away by car or bus. We’ve also been lucky with the neighbours – friendly, considerate, and always respectful. It’s a peaceful street with a real sense of community.
This has been a happy, flexible home for us – combining the best of town, countryside, and community in one place. We hope the next owners enjoy living here as much as we have.
