An impressive period ground floor apartment, with a large private terrace, commanding far reaching views towards Dunorlan Park and countryside, approximately 0.7 miles from the town centre.
Description
A striking and generously-proportioned apartment comprising the impressive ground floor of an elegant period villa, believed to date back to circa 1856, and now forming part of a 1997/98 development by Priestmere Properties.
With its own private entrance, an extensive terrace and far-reaching views, 1 Parkview is ideal for those requiring a secure 'lock up and leave' base for occasional use, or for full time enjoyment of the attractive location near the open spaces of Dunorlan Park, with Tunbridge Wells town centre about 0.7 miles away.
Further points of note include the private front entrance opening into a spacious reception hall with flagstone flooring. The apartment retains many attractive features typical of the Victorian period, such as generous ceiling heights enhancing the natural light, decorative mouldings and architraves, large-paned sash windows and wood panel internal doors.
The 29’10" formal drawing room is a particular highlight, featuring a stone fireplace with coal-effect gas fire, wide bay sash windows and French doors that open onto an impressive South facing terrace. From here, exceptional views can be enjoyed over the communal grounds and beyond including Dunorlan Park.
The kitchen/dining room features an intricately-decorated plaster moulded ceiling, a good range of base and wall units, an island unit with wine racks, and integrated appliances including a four-ring gas hob, electric oven and grill, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. Pretty glazed arched doors lead through to the drawing room. A separate utility room accommodates laundry appliances.
The principal bedroom enjoys an en suite shower room and an outlook to the South. The second bedroom and study/bedroom three both offer a good range of fitted wardrobes. A family bathroom completes the accommodation.
There is one reserved parking space to the front of the property, and a secure garage with electrically operated up-and-over door within the lower ground floor gated car park with a further separate storeroom.
The Communal grounds feature lawns bordered by mature shrubs and trees.
Location
Parkview is located on a private road which looks out over countryside views and Dunorlan Park, access on the Pembury Road within about 0.3 miles, which features about 78 acres of landscaped parkland with a six acre boating lake and café in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Tunbridge Wells is the only spa town in the Southeast of England, with elegant architecture and a variety of cultural, entertainment and shopping attractions, including the historic Pantiles, known for its charming Georgian colonnade, summer Jazz festivals, regular food and craft markets and Chalybeate Spring; there are two theatres locally, an abundance of cafés and restaurants and a mixture of national multiple retailers and independent shops. There are cricket and tennis facilities at the Nevill grounds (1.7 miles) and the renowned Nevill Golf Club is just 2 miles away.
