Location:
Margaret Road is situated in the centre of Headington where you will find a wide range of amenities which include a Waitrose many independent retailers, building society, coffee shops and public houses amongst others. Just over a mile away is the beautiful South Parks overlooking the Spires of Oxford.
The area is a popular location amongst medics and academics as it has a host of hospitals such as the Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic and John Radcliffe all in close proximity, along with many educational institutions, such as Oxford Brookes University, Rye St Anthony School and Headington Girls School which are all a short distance away.
The main London Road sees regular buses that run to Heathrow, Gatwick and London central, alongside the Oxford City Centre route. A short distance from the property is The Thornhill Park and Ride, which offers regular buses to Heathrow, Gatwick and Central London. The A40 and M40 are again within moments away for a convenient commute to London.
In The Owners Own Words:
This was my very first home, and I loved living here for over 10 years. The location is fantastic - everything you need is right on the doorstep. The private parking space is a real bonus, especially as it’s right outside the flat (a rarity in Headington!) and so handy for shopping.
The flat itself feels surprisingly spacious for a one-bedroom. I even hosted a few parties with plenty of people, and the neighbours were always friendly and welcoming.
Being on Margaret Road, you’re right in the heart of Headington, but it’s still peaceful as it’s just off the main road. I always felt safe, even coming home late from London, with only a short walk from the bus stop.
There are yoga and Pilates classes at the church next door, Bury Knowle Park for summer walks, and lots of great takeaway options nearby for Friday nights in. I made some wonderful memories here and even lifelong friends.
