A spacious 4 bedroom detached family home located in the ever-popular village of Hindon, in need of modernisation on a plot approaching 0.25 acres. No forward chain!
Angel House is a spacious 4 bedroom family home of brick construction under a pitched tiled roof. The property was built in the 1992 by Wessex Homes and has been in the current ownership since. The property has generous accommodation to both the ground and first floor and makes a perfect family home. Some recent works have been done to the property to include a new roof and double glazed windows, but the house would now benefit from refurbishment and improvement.
Internally the property has an entrance hall with stairs to the first floor, a cupboard beneath and a cloakroom. The large sitting room has a triple aspect, multi fuel burner and patio doors which lead to a covered patio area. The dining room is spacious and over looks the garden. The kitchen/breakfast room has a good selection of base and wall mounted storage with tiled work top, gas hob. There is a useful utility room with a sink, further storage and a gas fired wall mounted boiler (from private supply). A lobby area connects the utility to the double garage which has power and lighting and an electric up and over door. A staircase in the garage leads to a loft room which has been used as a dark room. Further investment in this area (subject to necessary consents) could create a highly versatile room ideal as office. On the first floor there is a landing area with airing cupboard and an access to the loft. There are 4 double bedrooms (three of them with built in wardrobes), en suite to the master bedroom and a family bathroom.
In all a wonderful family property which should be viewed to appreciate the space and perfect village location. No forward chain.
Hindon is a particularly attractive Wiltshire village which is understandably popular. The property is a short distance from the doctors’ surgery, community shop and Post Office, The Grovesnor Arms and The Lamb which also has rooms. The village also has a primary school and village hall. The A303 is approximately one mile away which gives direct access to the west country and the M3 to the east into London, whilst the village of Tisbury is approximately just over three miles away where there are good day to day facilities which include a variety of independent specialist shops and there is also a mainline railway station with regular services to Waterloo.
Externally the property has a walled frontage with electric double gates leading to a tarmac drive. There is ample parking in front of the double garage, with additional parking on a gravel area to the right of the main house. The rear garden is predominantly laid to lawn with a selection of mature specimen trees. There is a seating area leading from the house as well as a vegetable area.
