About this property
"There are so many things we love about living here. It’s packed with Victorian character and original
features, high ceilings, picture rails, open fireplaces etc. It’s our haven in the city and a great place for
entertaining with the modern kitchen and bifolds out into the garden. We love being round the corner from Wiper and True, Clouds and the local pubs that we frequent after a trip to the allotment on the weekends. It’s a thirty five minute walk or a ten minute cycle to Temple Meads station, which makes travelling into London nice and easy. It’s also incredibly easy to get onto the motorway to drive anywhere in the country."
The Home
A wonderful period terraced home in one of St Werburghs’ most sought-after streets, this two-bedroom property perfectly blends classic period features with ample contemporary style.
The accommodation has been thoughtfully updated by the current owners and offers a bright and welcoming interior. An entrance hall leads into the lounge, which boasts a charming bay window and fireplace, creating a cosy yet elegant space. At the rear, the kitchen/diner is the heart of the home, with bi-fold doors opening seamlessly onto the garden ideal for entertaining, family life, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Upstairs, two well-proportioned double bedrooms share a modern family bathroom, while a staircase leads to a very useful loft space, providing additional storage and flexibility.
The Garden
The rear garden is a true highlight of the property, offering a private and versatile outdoor space. With direct access from the kitchen/diner via bi-fold doors, it’s perfect for al fresco dining, relaxing with friends, or creating a safe play area for children. Well-maintained and easily manageable, the garden complements the light and airy feel of the home and provides a seamless extension of the living space.
Living in St Werburghs
Conduit Road is located in the heart of St Werburghs, an area of central Bristol in high demand due to the strong community feel, creativity and beautifully designed homes. St Werburghs is home to a number of popular cafes, shops and attractions including local favourite Clouds, The Better Food Company shop, Napolita Café, Wiper & True Brewery, as well as the Undercover Rock-climbing centre in St Werburghs Church. Bloc climbing gym, the largest bouldering centre in Bristol is just around the corner. The area’s popularity derives in a large part from its sense of community, but also from its close proximity to Bristol City Centre, Greenbank and Cheltenham Road. The nearby M32 makes the area ideal for commuters, providing easy access to Bristol Parkway and in turn to the M4. St Werburghs Primary School is very central to the area and has a good reputation, enhancing the pull of the area to families. St Werburghs Nursery School is also close by and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. The St Werburghs's City Farm and Café are well known throughout the city and combined with the local allotments are a good example of the area’s individuality and independence from surrounding suburbs.
