I have lived in Weybridge for over 25 years and to me Dorney Grove is one of the town’s best kept secrets!
It is a peaceful cul-de-sac enjoying a location that has so many wonderful things for a fantastic lifestyle within easy reach by walking and short car journeys.
The house is situated a few minutes’ walk from the River Thames and you can enjoy lovely riverside walks which should you wish to, can take you all the way to Kingston-Upon-Thames and beyond.
Within 15 minutes or so walk along the river there are several lovely cafes with river views. These include d’Oyly’s Café on the d’Oyly Carte Island, the Wilde Brunch Café at Cowey Sale and The Boathouse café at Walton Marina.
There are several lovely dog walking routes not only along the river but also on Desborough Island and along the Wey navigation canal all in easy reach of the property.
Plus, not far further on, you can easily reach two great Riverside pubs these being the Swan and The Anglers. Heading into town along the road, you also have within easy reach the Minnow and The Crown.
If you are into your fitness Bannatyne, Weybridge is a few minutes’ drive away, at the end of the road there is a tennis club and there are a number of river-related clubs – canoeing and rowing - nearby.
For schooling one of the area’s best independent schools St. Georges (which has two campuses) is in easy walking distance from the house and here you will find their nursery and Junior schools.
Shopping wise, a few minutes’ drive away or approximately 10 minutes’ walk you will find yourself in Weybridge High Street. Here you will find two major supermarkets these being Waitrose and Morrisons.
Additionally, there are a plethora of independent shops, independent and chain coffee shops and restaurants serving cuisines from around the world.
Should you need to take the train into London Weybridge train station is 1.7 miles away.
The house itself is absolutely outstanding from both a condition and flexible accommodation point of view, being able to be set up as four or five bedrooms and I would hope that the video and photographs illustrate to you what a wonderful property this is.
Some of the fantastic features include handmade wood kitchen units, blue pearl granite work surfaces, log burners in both the main living room and the front dining/reception room, a wine fridge and 5 ring Aga style range cooker.
The rear garden is landscaped beautifully, and the double garage provides very useful space which could be utilised in a number of different ways....obviously for cars....but maybe you would like a home gym, for example.
This really is an outstanding home and furthermore please note that there is no onward chain
