Comment From Robert Reed Of Gascoigne Halman
Do you long to get away from it all with a quiet and peaceful rural environment to come home to each day? Do you love walking in the countryside without the need to get in car? Do you yearn for a house rich in character yet ready to move into and impeccably presented? Do you cherish views and a garden, without a format that needs too much maintenance? If you have answered yes to all these questions then this super converted barn is an ideal proposition.
This lovely barn has a distinctive appearance and is fully deserving of its Grade II Listed status. It was converted circa 2016 and in the last year has undergone a major renewal project. The works have included a significant investment in the plumbing system, a new septic tank in 2016, a new shower room and upgrade of bathroom, excellent and high quality enhancements to the kitchen, including a new island unit and total redecoration throughout using farrow and ball colours. There has also been extensive work in the landscaping of the garden and taken all in all, it is a hugely impressive end result. These upgrades sit alongside the already impressive embedded quality, with the oak staircase being a key focal point.
The layout is perfect for couples, or those with grown up children.
Malpas, just 1.3 mile away, is a great village and the area more generally is increasingly being recognised as a highly convenient location with access to railway stations, airports and key roads all within comfortable reach. This combines with a traditional and appealing village feel and much investment in local amenities including a gastro pub / restaurant known as `The Lion', modern co-op convenience store and recently extended Doctors surgery.
