A freehold period property arranged over three floors, located near Tenbury Wells town centre.

The property comprises a lounge/diner, kitchen, office, utility room, W.C., four bedrooms, an en-suite, bathroom, and a lower ground floor reception room with additional storage.

The property retains many original period features including exposed beams, sash windows and feature bay fronts.

Bridge House was built as an Assembly Room in 1820 and was once the main building of the Swan Hotel hosting many famous visitors before conversion to a private home in 2004. In 1832,5 years before becoming queen, a young Princess Victoria took tea while waiting on a change of horses and spoke of Tenbury as “the little town in the orchard”. While working to set up the modern Post Office, novelist Antony Trollope began writing his Barchester Chronicles series when staying in the hotel in 1852. Early speed fiends stayed for the Shelsey Walsh hill climbs in the 20’s and 30’s. Then in 1963, on the very cusp of fame the Beatles came toTenbury Wells and stayed at The Swan before playing just across the river in the Bridge Hotel. They likely looked across from what are now the bedroom windows to see the excited crowd gathering for one of their last small gigs before they took to the world stage.

Bridge House benefits from gas-fired central heating and occupies a prominent position near Tenbury Wells, a historic market town known for its Georgian architecture, independent shops, cafés and traditional market square. The property is within walking distance of local amenities including supermarkets, schools, restaurants, and leisure facilities. Worcester, Ludlow and Leominster are all easily accessible by road, providing wider transport links and additional services.
