Cottage garden
This charming cottage was built circa 20 years ago and was beautifully designed to exude the character of a period property.
Beautifully presented throughout, it has a versatile layout with a generous snug to the front which lends itself to being a ground floor bedroom, an adjacent wc and study to the rear. The triple aspect sitting/dining room has an attractive feature fireplace with a log-burner and a french door out to a covered integrated veranda. The double aspect kitchen/breakfast room to the rear is well-fitted with shaker style cabinetry, integrated appliances and has space for a table and chairs. There are lovely outlooks over the garden and the adjacent utility room with plumbing and space for a washing machine and tumble dryer, gives access to the rear.
On the first floor are two excellent bedrooms, the principal having fitted wardrobes and a good en-suite bath/shower room whilst the second bedroom has a deep eaves storage cupboard and has the use of the family bathroom. There is also a very generous walk-in eaves cupboard which houses the water tank - an excellent area for airing clothes and for additional storage.
Outside
There is a wide gravel driveway bordered by fencing and mature hedging and a pretty porch leading to the front door. A gravel path to the rear of the house leads to the garden aat the side of the house with charming raised beds providing colourful English cottage garden planting bordering an area of lawn. The delightful integrated veranda off the sitting room provides a shaded area from which to enjoy the garden outlooks with additional terraces to one side of the garden and in front of the shed/workshop which provides excellent storage.
Situation
Horsmonden has a thriving community as well as a picturesque village green, general store, chemist, pub, hairdressers, popular primary school, tennis club and village hall with numerous clubs and societies.
