Seller’s View
We’ve called this house home for the past 24 years, raising our family here and creating so many happy memories along the way. It’s been the perfect family home, with the kind of space, comfort and warmth that’s hard to let go of.
The location has always been a highlight for us. You’re just a short walk from the river, which has made for countless Sunday strolls and bike rides over the years. The village pub is a lovely spot to unwind, and the local schools, all within easy reach, have been brilliant for our children’s education and friendships.
We’ve always felt really settled here. The neighbours are friendly, the shops are nearby, and everything you need is just around the corner. It’s a peaceful area, but still connected to a great village community.
It’s not easy saying goodbye, but we know this home is ready for a new family to make their own memories here, just as we did.
Jack’s Comments
There’s a lot I really like about this one, it just has a great feel to it the moment you step inside.
Mills Spur is a lovely, quiet little spot in Old Windsor. It’s the kind of road people tend to stay in for a long time, and you can see why, walking distance to the river, village pubs, good schools nearby... It’s a proper community setting, but you’ve still got easy access to Windsor, Egham, and the M25 too.
Inside, the house has been really well looked after. Everything’s been done properly, new windows and doors, fully rewired, and even the driveway has been re-laid. You can tell it’s been a loved home.
The layout works so well too. The separate lounge with the bay window has that lovely cosy feel, but the real heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen and dining space at the back, it’s modern, bright, and opens up beautifully onto the garden. If you like entertaining, it’s spot on.
Upstairs, you’ve got three good-size bedrooms, not just one double and a couple of singles, all genuinely usable spaces. And the landing and hallway both feel bigger than you might expect, which gives the whole place a really nice flow.
The garden’s another big highlight for me, south-facing so you get the sun most of the day, really well-kept with a great mix of patio, composite decking and lawn. There’s side access, a garage, and even a summer house, which makes a brilliant home office or just a nice hideaway space.
It’s one of those homes you can walk into and not need to do anything, just unpack and enjoy living in it.
Area View
Old Windsor is one of those places that just gets better the more time you spend here. It still feels like a proper village, you’ve got the pubs, the river just a short stroll away, the local schools, and a real sense of community. It’s peaceful, but never isolated.
Mills Spur itself is a quiet cul-de-sac that tends to stay off most people’s radar, and that’s part of the charm. It’s tucked away but incredibly well-connected. Windsor’s just up the road, Egham and the M25 are both within easy reach, and if you’re commuting into London, the train links are solid.
What really stands out here is the balance, you get green space and calm surroundings, but still have all the day-to-day essentials close by. Walks along the Thames, popping into Windsor for a coffee or some shopping, or heading to the local for a Sunday roast, it’s all on your doorstep.
If you’re looking for somewhere that feels settled, where neighbours know each other and families grow roots, Old Windsor is definitely worth a look. Mills Spur in particular has that rare mix of location, lifestyle and convenience that’s hard to beat.
