About this property
"i’ve loved living on Arley Hill the past three years. There are so many great restaurants, cafes and bars within an easy walk, yet it’s somehow quiet and the back garden has been a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the area. Some of my favourite spots to eat are Bokman and Caper and Cure. The Hillgrove is a wonderful pub and there’s always live music The Canteen and Gallimaufry, all of these within a few minutes' walk. The community is lovely, with an active what’s app group for the street."
The home
Stylish and charming epitomises the interior, of this one bedroom flat on Arley Hill in Cotham, with a courtyard garden, also with rear access. Entrance is into the hallway, with living room on your first right, boasting alcove shelving, chimney breast and bay window. Next is the large hall, with direct access to the colourful bathroom, in great condition. The bedroom follows, decorated in bold green and offering plenty of in-built storage. Adjacent is the galley kitchen, leading straight to the courtyard garden. Multiple sheds feature in the garden, which is fantastic for storage, and a rear gate allows access, primarily for bikes in and out of the plot.
Living in Cotham
Arley Hill is a one way road in Cotham, one of Bristol’s most desirable places to live. The area is comprised of beautiful grand Gothic buildings in amongst both Georgian Bath Stone and Victorian houses and many tree-lined roads, with parks and green spaces, perfect on summer days, such as the green at Redland Church or the University Gardens on St Michael’s Hill. The area is highly convenient being placed in between several hugely popular parts of Bristol. The bottom of Arley Hill comes out onto Cheltenham Road which then turns into Gloucester Road running through the suburbs of St Andrews, Bishopston and Horfield. Gloucester Road is widely noted for its long stretches of independent shops and by many is considered one of the best places to visit in the City. This property is also within easy reach of some of the smaller high streets such as Picton Street in Montpelier and Chandos Road in Redland, which offer their own selection of popular independent bars and eateries, such as the well-regarded Bristolian Café on Picton Street. For commuters, Arley Hill is extremely well placed for a short walk or cycle in Bristol City Centre. Buses run frequently up and down the A38 and train transport is available across the city via nearby Montpelier and Redland train stations. For those looking for access to green space, the property is just a short walk from Cotham Gardens and St Andrews Park, whilst the larger expanse of The Downs is also a five minute scooter ride away.
