Description
The Beeches is a wonderful family home offering generous, well-arranged accommodation over three floors. Full of character and warmth, it sits within a beautifully established plot of around an acre.
The house opens into a welcoming hallway, with a mix of wooden and flagstone floors throughout the ground level. The cosy, double-aspect sitting room features a lovely fireplace with a wood-burner - perfect for winter evenings. The dining room, with its front aspect, built-in dresser and cupboards, and exposed brick walls, is ideal for both everyday meals and special celebrations.
At the heart of the home is the kitchen/breakfast/garden room - truly the hub of family life. This charming farmhouse-style kitchen includes an excellent range of wall and floor units, granite worktops, a Franke 11⁄2-bowl sink with mixer tap, integrated Neff induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, and an electric range cooker. Double doors open directly to the garden, and a wide opening leads into the garden room, which has a part-vaulted ceiling and wonderful views of the garden, along with another set of double doors to the patio.
Just off the kitchen is a highly practical utility/boot room with additional storage units, work surfaces, a 11⁄2-bowl sink with mixer tap, space and plumbing for appliances, and a glazed door to the rear garden. Completing the ground floor are a spacious study, a stylish cloakroom with beautiful tiling and antique-style lighting, an inner hall with flagstones, a second cloakroom, and stairs to the first floor.
The landing above is bright and inviting - a lovely spot to sit and enjoy peaceful country views.
The principal bedroom is a real highlight, featuring doors to a private balcony overlooking the garden - perfect for a quiet morning coffee. A step up leads into the dressing room with fitted wardrobes, and beyond this is a beautifully appointed double-aspect en suite bathroom with a slipper bath, shower, WC, and basin. Two further double bedrooms on this floor also enjoy built-in wardrobes and charming farmland views. The family bathroom includes a large shower, WC, and washbasin.
On the second floor are two additional double bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes and eaves storage, along with a shower room.
Outside, the property is approached via gates onto a large gravel driveway with ample parking and a double carport. The front of the house is especially pretty in spring and summer when the magnificent wisteria is in full bloom.
The rear garden is truly a joy, backing onto paddock and woodland for a wonderfully peaceful backdrop. A terrace leads out to the lawn, surrounded by mature flower beds, shrubs, and a pond. To the side, a raised covered deck sits beside the pool, while the far end of the garden offers a summerhouse and bar area with plenty of space for entertaining. There is also a greenhouse and a shed. Altogether, this delightful setting offers an exceptional family lifestyle.
