Brickworks says
Amid the buzz of City life, with views of the Shard from your window, this compact flat is jam-packed with personality. Period features such as the sash windows and column radiators have been updated, bringing modern standards of comfort and convenience. They sit happily next to original architectural details, like the sweet fireplace in the bedroom.
The living space is comfortable and homely. It, too, has a fireplace––a dark surround that draws the eye––and clever lighting that creates a defined dining area. The kitchen may be snug but it has room for everything-in-it's-place neatness. Down the corridor, the bedroom is a retreat of calm serenity where you can look out over the rooftops at London's famous skyline. The decor is subtle and understated, seamlessly linking the various zones together.
For those who want to experience the capital up close, this is the ideal neighbourhood, with the world-renowned Southbank, historical Borough and happening Bermondsey just a meandering distance away. Soak up the culture at Tate Modern, and the Royal Festival Hall, tuck into a dizzying array of cuisines at Borough Market, or sink a pint at one of the many locals steeped in history. And for stretching your legs, you can't beat a walk along the Thames to appreciate having the city at your feet.
The owners say
We have loved living in this flat – it's been a peaceful home above the roofs of London Bridge with amazing views across the City.
Having Borough Market, the Thames, Bermondsey Street, and the City on our doorstep has been fantastic for walks, entertainment, and transport-with all of central London either walkable or a short journey away. We'll miss living here, but reluctantly, it's time for us to move on.
