What the owner told us...
“This house has allowed us to grow as a family. It’s been the backdrop to every birthday and Christmas for 18 years, and it’s full of love and memories. The girls are actually cross we’re selling. I designed the bathroom based on my favourite hotel in Corfu, and it’s honestly my favourite place in the house. What i’ll miss most is the space and how calm it feels. It’s such a safe, comfortable place to come home to.”
Our thoughts...
This is one of those homes that immediately feels easy to be in. From the moment you step through the door, there’s a sense of space and flow that makes everyday life feel simple. It’s a house that’s been carefully looked after and thoughtfully updated, and you can feel that straight away.
The layout works beautifully, especially for family life. Rooms are generous, well-balanced and connected in a way that lets everyone be together without feeling on top of each other. It’s clear this is a home that’s grown with its family and adapted effortlessly along the way.
The living room is a brilliant size and instantly inviting. It’s the kind of space that works just as well for quiet evenings as it does for having friends and family over. There’s plenty of room to spread out, relax and properly switch off at the end of the day.
At the back of the house, the kitchen and dining space really becomes the heart of the home. The kitchen was replaced when the owners moved in and has been designed to be practical, sociable and easy to use. Everything is where you want it, with plenty of storage and workspace, making it ideal for busy mornings and family meals alike.
The dining area is where so much of family life has happened. This is a house where eating together has been part of everyday life, and the space reflects that. The bi-fold doors, fitted in December 2024, open the room up to the garden and flood it with natural light. In warmer months, the whole area feels bright, open and connected to the outside.
The garden is enclosed and a really good size, offering plenty of space to enjoy without feeling overwhelming. With new turf, a patio and raised beds, it’s a lovely spot for children to play, for summer gatherings or for simply enjoying some fresh air with a coffee.
Upstairs, the sense of space continues. All three bedrooms are well proportioned and versatile. The principal bedroom benefits from built in wardrobes, giving you excellent storage without taking up floor space, and bedroom three also has built in wardrobes, making it ideal as a child’s room, guest room or home office. Bedroom two is another generous double, offering flexibility depending on how you want to use the space.
The bathroom is a real standout. Recently renovated and inspired by the owner’s favourite hotel in Corfu, it feels calm, bright and thoughtfully designed. It’s a space that feels a little bit special and a lovely contrast to the busyness of everyday life.
Outside, the practical elements are just as strong. There’s off road driveway parking, along with an oversized tandem garage and carport to the side of the property. For anyone thinking longer term, there’s also potential here to extend or adapt the space further, subject to the usual planning permissions.
Location wise, this is a fantastic spot. Casterton Road is one of Stamford’s most popular streets, with easy access to local schools, including a bus stop directly opposite for Bourne Grammar. Stamford town centre is close by, making day to day life and commuting simple and convenient.
What really comes through with this home is how well it supports real life. It’s been a place for busy school mornings, family dinners, celebrations and quiet evenings, and it does all of it effortlessly. It’s warm, functional and full of heart, and it’s ready to welcome its next family.
If you’re looking for a home with space, flexibility and a genuinely lovely feel throughout, this is one you’ll want to see for yourself.
