Why buy this home?

You enter the property via a handy porch, perfect for kicking off muddy boots and hanging coats before stepping into the main living space. The living room is warm and cosy, comfortably accommodating a sofa, armchair and coffee table or pouffe. With the staircase positioned here, there’s a useful under-stairs area currently used as a snug nook, though it could easily be adapted for additional storage.

The kitchen diner is currently used solely as a kitchen, as the owners have added a beautiful garden room leading off from it. The kitchen itself offers ample worktop space, including an additional surface ideal for appliances such as an air fryer. Storage is plentiful, with a cleverly designed open pantry with shelving on the right-hand side-making bottles and essentials easy to access. There is space for a freestanding American fridge freezer, washing machine, slimline dishwasher, as well as an integrated oven and induction hob.

The garden room is a true retreat, calm, relaxing and flooded with natural light. It comfortably fits a four-seater dining table along with a desk, making it an ideal space for both entertaining and working from home. Double doors open out onto a patio area, with steps leading up to the main garden.

The mature rear garden offers plenty of space to enjoy nature. A patio with a pergola sits to one side, ideal for outdoor entertaining while overlooking the pond. The rear section, currently home to the owners’ chickens (not included), really highlights the generous size of the garden. There is also gated access leading to the front of the property.

Upstairs, the main bedroom sits at the front of the house and comfortably accommodates a Super-king size bed, bedside tables and freestanding wardrobes. Bedroom two is also a double, with space for wardrobes and a desk, ideal as a children's or guest room. Both bedrooms are served by a recently renovated family bathroom, featuring a p-shaped bath with a rainfall shower above and a glass shower screen.

To the front of the property, there is off-road parking for two cars.

More about the location...

Tattenhoe and Tattenhoe Park are adjacent districts of Milton Keynes in the ancient parish of Tattenhoe. It is located at the south-western edge of the city, not far from the ruins of Snelshall Priory. It contains Howe Park Wood, one of England's few remaining primeval woodlands, and home to a wide variety of wildlife.

The village was abandoned in the 16th century and had its own moated manor house and church (1540, perhaps 12th century). By the time redevelopment began, it consisted of just three farms and St. Giles's Church, but was recognised as a village rather than a hamlet.

The village also has the Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion, which is run by mkdons set in partnership with the Milton Keynes Council. They offer the temporary home of Westcroft Library, as well as a lounge area next to the cafe and bar on site. The pavilion also has legacy playing fields, an astro turf available for hire, a meeting room available for hire and free parking on site.

Tattenhoe Valley Park is a delightful place for a walk, cycle or horse ride, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the necklace of ponds splashing over rocks and providing a fantastic habitat for insect, bird and water life.

Primary education is provided by Howe Park School and Giles Brook School (which has an Outstanding Ofsted report) and Secondary Education is provided by Shenley Brook End School.
