From the moment you step inside, the sense of space and light is immediately apparent. The welcoming entrance hall leads through to a bright and airy lounge, beautifully proportioned and thoughtfully arranged to create a refined yet comfortable living environment. Large windows invite in an abundance of natural light, while the private balcony provides the perfect setting for morning coffee or evening relaxation, offering a tranquil retreat above the bustle of the town below.

The modern kitchen/diner has been designed with both style and practicality in mind. Sleek cabinetry, elegant work surfaces and integrated Bosch appliances combine to create a sophisticated culinary space ideal for everyday living and entertaining alike. Whether hosting guests or enjoying a quiet dinner at home, this room effortlessly caters to every occasion.

The accommodation comprises three well-appointed bedrooms. Two generous double bedrooms feature fitted wardrobes, ensuring ample storage while maintaining clean, streamlined interiors. The principal bedroom further benefits from a contemporary en-suite shower room, finished to a high specification with quality fittings and tasteful tiling. A spacious single bedroom, currently utilised as a dressing room, offers versatility to suit a variety of lifestyle needs, whether as a nursery, home office or guest room.

Completing the apartment is a stylish family bathroom, beautifully presented with modern sanitaryware and a calming, neutral palette.

Perfectly positioned for commuters and those seeking the convenience of town centre living, yet offering privacy, comfort and generous proportions throughout, this outstanding apartment presents a rare opportunity to acquire a refined home in one of Bedford’s most desirable and accessible locations.

Tavistock Street enjoys a prime central position in the heart of Bedford, offering the perfect balance of vibrant town living and everyday convenience. Located just moments from the town’s bustling high street, you can benefit from an excellent selection of independent boutiques, well-known retailers, cafés, restaurants and essential amenities, all within easy walking distance.

Bedford’s mainline railway station is conveniently close by, providing fast and frequent services to London St Pancras International, making Tavistock Street particularly attractive to commuters seeking a seamless connection to the capital. The area is also well-served by local bus routes and road links, offering straightforward access to surrounding towns and villages.

The nearby Embankment and picturesque riverside walks along the River Great Ouse provide a welcome escape from the town’s energy, with green open spaces perfect for leisurely strolls, cycling or relaxing weekends outdoors. Cultural and leisure facilities, including theatres, gyms and community venues, further enhance the lifestyle appeal of this central location.
Owners details

Having suffered life changing health I needed to downsize from my previous house to a flat that was large enough, centrally located with an elevator.
I did not want to live within a huge building and eventually found Centurion Court and later acquired the freehold of the building.

Centurion Court accommodates seven flats in which I consider is one of the best managed buildings in Bedford. As a hands on freeholder living within a small community we are able to keep the service charges very reasonable whilst maintaining good standards.

In 2025 the flat I refurbished and furniture the flat throughout to a high standard. The kitchen includes Bosch appliances, bespoke fitted furniture to all bedrooms, a fitted entertainment wall, Italian furnitures, John Lewis lighting and more. Ideally the flat would suit a working professional or retired couple who are seeking a key turn property. Easily accessible to access a short train journey to Luton Airport and London.

I am in the opinion that due to the management, design of spacious flats and location that this flat will become a great choice for capital appreciation when the train station and Universal Studios are developed.
