Timeless Charm Meets Town Centre Buzz

Owners Comments...

We decided to try our hand at renovating a property, and being local to the area, Wokingham was high on our wish list. We were keen to retain as much of the original character as possible while also creating a bright, open-plan layout to give the home a modern feel.

We opened up the rear of the property, extending into the original outbuilding storage area, and incorporated as many windows as possible, including a large single dining room door, to allow sunshine to flood the kitchen and dining space.

Upstairs, we removed the chimney breast to maximise space, creating a separate double bedroom along with a light, modern family bathroom. Downstairs, we added the all-important WC. The property underwent a complete rewire and was fully replastered throughout.

My daughter has lived at the property for the past year and, as a young professional couple, they’ve made the most of the many local cafés, pubs, restaurants - and, allegedly, the best Chinese takeaway around!

Dan & Neil Estate Agents’ comments...

If you’ve been dreaming of Wokingham town centre living, this one might just steal your heart. Situated right in the heart of Wokingham, just a stone’s throw from everything the town has to offer, this beautiful semi-detached home truly offers the best of both worlds.

Built back in 1910, the house is packed with character and charm, from its gorgeous bay-fronted lounge to its classic proportions. Yet in recent years it has been fully renovated, meaning you can simply move straight in and start enjoying it - completely turnkey and ready to go.

Inside, you’ll find two big double bedrooms, both generous in size, along with a huge refurbished bathroom upstairs that feels fresh and stylish. Downstairs, the layout flows beautifully, with a big dining space leading straight into the kitchen across the back of the house which is perfect for entertaining or relaxed family dinners. The sellers have also thoughtfully added a downstairs W.C., a practical touch that makes everyday living even easier.

Step outside and you’ll discover a south-east facing garden stretching to circa 90ft, a fantastic space for summer BBQs or morning coffees in the sunshine!

Character, convenience and contemporary comfort all wrapped up in one stunning period home!
