About this property
A spacious three bedroom, semi-detached family home, situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, in the picturesque village of Chilmark.
This three bedroom property offers wonderful light and spacious accommodation throughout and is situated at the top of a quiet cul-de-sac. Upon entering the property, there is an attractive kitchen which benefits from plenty of storage via base and wall hung units. The centre piece of the ground floor accommodation is the sitting room which has French doors into the garden, hard wood floor, built in storage and lovely views intro the garden. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a downstairs cloakroom.
Moving upstairs, there are three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedroom one and two are large doubles with bedroom two offering brilliant views over the surrounding countryside. Bedroom three is a spacious single bedroom which again offers rural views and a built in wardrobe. The family bathroom is well finished, the bath has a tongue and groove surround and there is a shower over the bath.
Chilmark is an exceptionally pretty village that lies within Wiltshire's Nadder Valley. It is situated 3 miles south of the A303 and close to Tisbury, which provides excellent road and rail links to London and the West Country. The village is best known for its eponymous stone, which is used in many local houses and out of which Salisbury Cathedral is built, which is twelve miles to the east.
The village benefits from being within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is one of only 14 places globally to hold 'International Dark Sky Reserve' status, which makes for a remarkable night sky. The picturesque surrounds offer fine walking, riding and cycling, and the village itself has a thriving church, a well-regarded primary school and an excellent local pub, The Black Dog. Nearby Tisbury is the largest village in Wiltshire's Nadder Valley and benefits from an excellent range of immediate facilities including a Co-Operative Supermarket.
There is a beautiful sunny garden to the rear of the property which is predominantly laid to lawn with attractive borders and a large patio area. In addition, there is a garage which has power and rear access as well as driveway parking.
Wiltshire Council Tax Band C.
This property benefits from being connected to mains drainage, water and electricity. In addition, the property offers oil fired central heating.
Leave Salisbury heading west on the A36, turning left onto the A30 at the Wilton roundabout towards Shaftesbury. On reaching Barford St Martin turn right on the bend, onto the B3089 to Hindon and Mere. Pass through Dinton and Teffont and into Chilmark. Turn left at the crossroads just after the pub (The Black Dog), then left again at the end of the road. Taking the first right onto Becketts Lane, Rideway will be on right hand side, with the property being located at the end of the cul-de-sac.
