This impressive three storey detached residence combines commanding architecture, generous proportions, and far reaching coastal views to create a standout home in one of Shanklin's most desirable locations. Set behind a sweeping horseshoe driveway with extensive parking and two garages, one integral and one detached, the property offers both presence and practicality from the moment you arrive. A covered, tiled porch opens into a substantial entrance hall, where a bespoke staircase introduces the home's thoughtful design and scale. The triple aspect sitting room, accessed through double doors, is a superb entertaining space featuring a charming stained glass window and a feature fireplace. An additional reception room, currently used as a spacious home office, enjoys views across the garden. To the eastern side, double doors lead to a covered, paved seating area with a Mediterranean feel, an ideal spot for outdoor dining or quiet relaxation. The dual aspect kitchen and breakfast room is well planned for family living, offering ample workspace, fitted units, and integrated appliances. A concealed utility room, ground floor cloakroom, and internal access to the garage enhance everyday convenience.
On the first floor, a bright landing leads to a delightful conservatory, perfectly positioned to enjoy morning light and panoramic sea and countryside views. The principal bedroom is a generous dual aspect suite with fitted wardrobes and an ensuite featuring both a bath and separate shower. A further large double bedroom with triple aspect views, a generous single bedroom, and a family shower room complete this level. The top floor hosts two substantial double bedrooms, each with storage and exceptional elevated views from large dormer windows. One benefits from its own ensuite shower room.
The tiered rear garden offers extensive patio space, mature planting, and a large lawn bordered by specimen trees. A gate provides direct access to Culver Road and the scenic coastal footpath leading to Shanklin's sandy beach, vibrant esplanade, and local amenities. With excellent transport links nearby, this remarkable home blends coastal tranquility with everyday convenience.
What the Owner says:
Our family loved this house, which is also called Treetops, because of its layout which shows off the beautiful view of coast and countryside to its fullest, particularly from the conservatory and the veranda in the back garden. We loved the garden and took pleasure in the planting and the interesting design, allowing for different activities in different areas. It feels like being on holiday all the time, having such easy access to the sea and the coastal path!
The house feels cosy and inviting but spacious at the same time. It's been great for socialising and hosting family and friends. The street and neighbourhood are friendly and it's been a great place for our parents to live and get involved in the local community. They were very happy here!
