Welcome to Waterside Cottage…

The owners love…

Nestling in a peaceful picturesque Hamlet this three-bedroom family home oozes character & charm – as well as amazing countryside, the river lea and woodland.

Upon entering you are greeted with the quaint foyer leading through to the heart of this home the Country style kitchen. Open plan, feature beams and lighting this space offers the heritage being Grade II listed but with a contemporary twist. The kitchen is of a generous size with ample space for storage and appliances.

There are two reception areas downstairs being the lounge with the roaring fire and the separate dining area although this is open plan. It offers a generous space for family life. The log burner which is set in a brick surround is a wonderful feature and is very much enjoyed on those cold winter nights.

In keeping with the age & character of the Cottage the family bathroom is downstairs. It is generous in size with a walk-in shower. This has proved really useful when entertaining.

Leading outside you will find our South facing garden, enclosed and rural with views over the water. The perfect place to relax and unwind and ready for you to add your own flair.

Upstairs we have three good size bedrooms with their unique shapes perfect for furniture and additional storage.

We have gated parking for two/three cars.

Our home is in a Hamlet with amazing countryside walks on the doorstep, it is a wonderful sense of community here and all the neighbours are so friendly. We have a museum with a 1,000-year-old working mill. A treat to visit and enjoy cream tea and scones! The pub is due to open soon, with a village store and coffee shop. We have a fabulous golf course a short walk from our home. As much as we love the tucked away feel, we are still near to Stanborough lakes, as well as the A1M & 414. We also are a short drive to the train station with its high speed links to London within 30 minutes. This area has so much to offer steeped in heritage and such a lovely way of life.

Agents’ opinion – I love this cosy cottage it has such a welcoming feel when visiting if you are looking for a property to add your own flair whilst appreciating the heritage of the home then this is one for you!
