Sellers Comment...
We purchased this house as a new build with a toddler as it was very much our’ forever home’ in which to grow our family. There is plenty of space for a busy family, both indoors and outside, and plenty of storage in the double garage, which can be accessed from the house. Both bathrooms have been upgraded, and we particularly love our kitchen, with doors into our south facing conservatory / breakfast room, which has both electricity and central heating, meaning we have even used it for big get togethers at Christmas. We have a large, south facing rear garden with Warren Wood at the bottom and a bridle path at the side of the house, both of which have given us lots of privacy as nothing can be developed on these areas. We are a few hundred metres from California Country Park and all its facilities, all of which are great for young families.
Our children have grown up and have now purchased homes of their own in the local area, so they can continue to enjoy all the outdoor facilities Finchampstead and the local area can offer. Whilst the house is now bigger than we need, we will be staying in the area as it’s been our home for over thirty years.
Will and Mike's Comment...
If you are looking for a well proportioned and located, five bedroom family home, then look no further. It always says something when a house has only had one owner since it was built in 1995, we the think this could be the perfect family home as it has been for our seller who has summed up why not only is this a great house, but a great location too.
At the front of this home you have a spacious entrance hall with a good size study which is a must have for a family home. You then have the cloakroom and internal access to the double garage which not only gives you ample space for two vehicles, but also the opportunity to create another room should you need to in the future. Moving towards the back of the house, you enter the shaker style kitchen which is not only hand built, but has been finished really nicely as you can tell from the details with the curved units and solid wood worktops. It's got plenty of storage but if you need a bit more space then you have a separate utility with access to outside. The conservatory works really well as both a relaxing or dining space leading from the kitchen, with the garden being south facing it creates an ideal entertaining area. The separate dining room is a great size in itself but there is the opportunity to knock through into the kitchen to create the desired open plan area. The living room is both cosy and light with the sliding glass doors onto the patio.
Upstairs there are five good size bedrooms with plenty of room for freestanding furniture. The open landing is a feature because of the light tunnel added by our seller making it feel even bigger with one also in the second bedroom. But the master bedroom is one of our personal favourite rooms in this house. Not only is it incredibly spacious and has fitted wardrobes, but the large refitted en suite shower room has been finished to high standard.
The rear garden as you can tell is not only a great size, but extremely private which is rare to find. As we've mentioned it's south facing but being surrounded by woodland, it makes the garden so useable and would be ideal for a growing family. There is also a large amount of space tucked around the side which gives you access to the front but could lend itself to an outbuilding or creating a secluded entertaining area. Finding homes for families with many boxes to tick is tough but this one really does tick them all. If you are looking for a home with a big garden and in a great location then this is not one to miss out on, we can't wait to take you on a tour.
